I enjoyed very much the show “Illuminating Fashion: Dress in the Art of Medieval France and the Netherlands” running through September 4, 2011 at the Morgan library. It reminded me why I love writing about fashion, a wonderful way to re-live history and understand times through these very special codes. The evolution of the Coiffure au Hennin is delightful and the invention of the cote hardy or the pour point for men who like to strut like peacocks!
